We’re on the lookout for a Network Engineer specialising in Unified Communications to join a highly regarded IT services company based in Perth. Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and deploy Unified Communications solutions, including VoIP, video conferencing, and collaboration tools.
• Support and troubleshoot UC systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their UC and networking needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Maintain and upgrade UC and networking environments, ensuring security and scalability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for both UC and networking issues.
• Implement and manage network infrastructure to support UC systems, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Prepare documentation and ensure all configurations are properly recorded.
• Work closely with the wider technical team to deliver seamless solutions and services.

Role Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on Unified Communications.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including LAN, WAN, and QoS.
• Experience with Unified Communications platforms, such as Cisco Collaboration (CUCM), Microsoft Teams, or Zoom.
• Knowledge of VoIP protocols, SIP, and troubleshooting voice/data quality issues.
• Strong experience with firewalls, routers, and switches (Cisco, Fortinet, or similar).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills – you can translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications are highly regarded (e.g., CCNA Collaboration, CCNP, MS-900, or similar).

Technical Requirements:

• Experience with Cisco UC platforms (CUCM, Webex).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Direct Routing.
• Experience with SIP trunking and VoIP deployment.
• Understanding of firewall configurations and security best practices.
• Wireless networking (Cisco Meraki or similar).
